Metadata

CC/PP and P3P have some commonalities:

• The Web is not only human vs. information services any more
• The architecture is used for machine/machine communication , too
• Other examples:
  • search engines
  • digital libraries
  • distributed processing (Grid)
• To enable these architectures, metadata is needed on resources!

This is where RDF comes in
